Shared, private or shuttle
A shared boat takes a fixed route with other passengers and a set of stops that do not move. It is the cheapest way onto the water and, for a first visit, usually the right one.
A private boat is the same river with the timings handed back to you. Groups of six or more often find the price per head lands close to the shared boat anyway.

- They leave from the quay in the centre of Dalyan.
- There is shade on deck and a ladder into the water at swim stops.
- The river section is flat: no open sea until you pass the sandbar.
- Cash is worth carrying. Site entry and beach kiosks are not all on card.
